Q: HOW DO I SUBMIT FILES?

A: I work with Lightroom catalogues and exporting and sending the catalogues is simple. I give full instructions to each client when ordering, the process includes creating Smart Previews within Lightroom and uploading to a private Dropbox account shared with me. After testing out several methods used by the big name Post Processing companies, I have found my method to be the most user friendly and efficient. 


Q: HOW DO LIGHTROOM SMART PREVIEWS WORK?

A: The newest version of Lightroom allows for compressed previews of RAW images to be embedded
directly into the catalog. This allows a full selection of RAW, non-destructive editing to be done without
actually having the original images. For you, this means:
You only need to send the exported catalog with the smart previews.
The data is 8 times smaller than the original images.
Upload is faster and a huge savings in bandwidth.
The ability to make further changes yourself to the images I have edited for you, should you wish.


Q:HOW DO I RECEIVE COMPLETED FILES?

A: Depending on your preference, I can send you the completed Lightroom files for you to make further adjustments or I can send you the finalised images in JPEG format ready to send to the client. I am completely happy to work with you to decide which is the most suitable way for you to receive the files.


Q: HOW DO YOU EDIT IN MY STYLE?

A: I begin by reviewing your images on your website and blog, I ask you to send me some sample images that you have edited and then I edit some samples of your work that you can approve (or request changes to) before we start on any order to make sure I have your style defined. I ask that you share your preset preferences with me and I also have many of the popular well known presets from VSCO, Mastin, Ben Sasso and RNI.  Finally, should you ever have concerns about an order, simply notify me right away and I will happily tweak the images until you are completely happy.


Q: WILL YOU KEEP MY EDITING STYLE PRIVATE?

A: As a fellow photographer, I understand how important your editing style is to your personal art and how hard you have worked to get there. I will NEVER share or replicate your style for anyone but you. And I am always happy to create a confidentiality agreement with my clients if they wish.


Q: CAN I SUBMIT A SPECIFIC REQUEST ON AN INDIVIDUAL ORDER?

A: Of course! All of my work for you is completely customised, so if you need to have me handle any of your orders differently than normal, I am always happy to accommodate.


Q: WHAT IS YOUR MINIMUM ORDER?

A: There is no minimum order for my clients.


Q: WHAT COMMITMENT DO I NEED TO MAKE?

A: There is no commitment. No monthly fees, no hidden charges. 


Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR YOUR SERVICES?

A: I take a 25% deposit on all orders with the final balance due in full on completion of the order to your satisfaction. I am also delighted to give clients who place advanced booking orders with me service discounts. 


Q: WHAT IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS?

A: Please just tell me right away! Often if a new client has problems with one of their first orders, I can quickly identify a technical issue that is to blame (monitor calibration, files that have been renumbered resulting in xmp data not matching up, etc.) If the issue requires me to rework the files to reach your satisfaction, I will always do that happily (and at no charge) as long as you let me know about the problem right away.


Q: WHAT IS YOU TURN AROUND TIME?

A: I always ask my clients to book in with me in advance as I only have space in my diary for a limited number of exclusive clients. For example, if you know you are shooting a wedding on the 1st of May 2020, I advise that you book that into the diary with me as soon as you take the booking deposit from your client to guarantee that I will work on your images in advance of any other orders received. I do take last minute orders but I always prioritise my advance orders. On advance orders the turn around is typically ~4-5 business days on most services. This sometimes slows down to ~6-7 business days for a few peak weeks at the end of the summer, but if you ever need an order back by a specific date, just let me know and I will always do my best to make it happen.

Q:DO YOU ONLY EDIT WEDDING PHOTOS?

A:I am happy to edit any professional images. I have experience with portraits, maternity sessions, boudoir, bar/bat mitzvahs, quinceaneras, sweet sixteens, travel photography, real estate images, and more!
